Understanding our cancellation and no-show policies

How Payment Works on Groomfiy

  • You provide a card when booking your appointment.
  • You are NOT charged at booking. Your card is securely saved.
  • You ARE charged after your appointment for the service amount disclosed at booking.
  • You ARE charged a fee if you no-show or cancel late (amount set by your groomer, shown at booking).
  • Price adjustments above 25% of your original quoted price require your approval before charging.

1. Groomer-Specific Policies

Each groomer on Groomfiy sets their own cancellation and no-show policies. These policies are displayed clearly during the booking process and on your confirmation page. By booking an appointment, you agree to that specific groomer's policies.

2. Cancellation Notice Requirements

Groomers typically require advance notice before cancelling an appointment. Common notice periods include:

  • 24 hours: Cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment
  • 48 hours: Cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment
  • 72 hours: Cancel at least 72 hours before your appointment

The specific notice period for your groomer is shown on your booking confirmation.

3. Late Cancellation Fees

If you cancel after the required notice period, a late cancellation fee may apply. This fee is a fixed amount (e.g., $25, $50) and will be charged to your card on file.

4. No-Show Policy

A no-show occurs when you:

  • Miss your appointment without cancelling
  • Arrive more than 10 minutes late (for salon services)
  • Are not present when the mobile groomer arrives

No-shows result in a no-show fee being charged to your card on file. This fee is set by your groomer and displayed on your confirmation page.

5. Card on File and Authorized Charges

When you confirm your booking, you provide a card on file. By providing your card, you authorize the Groomer to charge it for:

  • The full service amount after your appointment is complete
  • A late cancellation fee, in the amount disclosed at booking, if you cancel within the cancellation window
  • A no-show fee, in the amount disclosed at booking, if you do not appear for your appointment
  • Any price adjustments above 25% of the original quoted price, which require your separate approval before being charged

You are NOT charged at the time of booking. Charges occur only after the events above. Your card details are stored securely by Stripe; Groomfiy does not store full card numbers.

You may revoke this authorization for future bookings by removing your payment method from your account or contacting the Groomer directly. Revocation does not apply to charges already triggered by events that have occurred (e.g., a no-show fee for an appointment you did not attend).

6. How to Cancel

To cancel or reschedule your appointment:

  • Contact your groomer directly using the phone number in your confirmation email
  • Send a message through the platform (if enabled)

7. Refunds

Late cancellation and no-show fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact your groomer directly to discuss.
